1890
Mr. José Agustín Azcue opens a mechanic workshops where he was building transport carriages and all kind of mechanical assemblies.
1910
His son, Mr. Ricardo Azcue, starts manufacturing pumps and cork-screws.
1920 - 1930
The shipyards in the nearby area had a spectacular development. Azcue Pumps becomes an important reference in the market.
1940
Azcue Pumps designs and developps pumps for the diesel engines in close collaboration with local manufacturers.
1950
Mr. Ricardo Azcue decides to build his own foundry. With the foundry he controls all manufacturing process from the pump design and guaranties the complete manufacturing cycle.
1952
The Azcue family´s third generation starts to run the business.
1955
The new generation markets the Azcue Pumps all over Spain: Zumaia, Bermeo, Castro Urdiales, Gijon, Cudillero, A Coruña and Vigo.
1960
The pumps comercialization is extended to Barcelona, Valencia, San Fernando, Puerto Real, Cadiz and Sevilla. Azcue Pumps becomes solid and wellknown in the market as a pump manufacturer.
The 4 sons of Mr. Ricardo Azcue decide to enlarge the business and build what it is now the main factory and head office of Azcue Pumps.
1965 - 1970
Introduction of cnc numeric control machinery in the production line. At the same time the manufacturing technics were improved and the range of pumps was enlarged.
1980
The fourth generation of the Azcue family joins Azcue Pumps. The main contribution of this generation has been the internationalisation of the company, orientated to make Azcue Pumps a worldwide reference.
Important presence in the main worlwide exhibitions.
1985 - 1988
Improvement and extension of the installations of both factory and foundry in Arrona (Guipuzcoa).
1990
The range of products was enlarged with solutions directed to multiple sectors as marine, offshore, industry, cogeneration and energy sectors.
Azcue improves the worldwide network of agents to cover the sales, after-sales and 24-hour service assistance.
1994
Azcue Pumps gets the certificate of approval ISO 9001 Quality Management System by LRQA.
2000
As a result of Azcue Pumps constant investigation and research for new solutions, the range of products was enlarged.
2005
Azcue sets up 6 strategic wharehouses for pumps and spare replacement around the world : Arrona, Singapur, Mumbai, Dubai, Rotterdam and Miami.
2007 - 2008
Heavy investment in CNC numerical control machinery of the latest generation.
Instalation of an automatic wharehouse plant with FMS and robotic system.
2010
Azcue 100 years aniversary. Azcue celebrates the Centenary inviting to the celebration to the majority of customers, agents network , distributors and worldwide service.
2012
Extension and development of worldwide network of Agents and service to 90 delegations.
2014 - 2015
Renovation and enlargement of the foundry with the instalation of new production robotized technics.
2016 - 2017
Opening of a new factory which will support all the Azcue Pumps strategic wharehouses worldwide.
Future
Azcue Pumps has 25.000 m² of own property in case it will be needed to open new plants or expand the existing ones.
